The Tek Rex is a rare, bionic-looking version of the Rex that features a metallic, often black or grey body with glowing emissive elements. The main functional difference is that wild Tek Rexes can spawn at a higher maximum level (up to 180 on official difficulty settings, compared to 150 for a standard Rex). Taming a high-level one gives a great head start for breeding lines, making it a highly sought-after, powerful carnivore. Like other Tek creatures, it drops resources like Element Dust, Electronics, Oil, and Scrap Metal when harvested.
